Veterans with PTSD and Gun Control
There is much debate, yet little news, concerning the Bill, unofficially known as the Veterans Disarmament Act HR2640. The debate on this Bill concerns, at least for veterans, especially those diagnosed with PTSD, the right to buy and own a fire arm. The particular wording of the Bill and just what it REALLY means to veterans is complicated, therefore, for your information and reading I invite you to view http://www.gunowners.org/ which gets pretty specific regarding this Bill.
I personally believe that, if the government can find a way to disarm veterans without causing a total uproar from the veteran community they will do so. With all that is going on, some if not a lot of it behind the scenes and the backs of the American people, disarming veterans and other patriotic people is in the game plan.
The talk of a Third World Government is becoming more than just talk each and every day. The changing of our money to match that of Canada, Mexico and other South American countries is just another step in establishing Third World Rule by the rich and powerful around the world. Disarmament is yet another.
The news media reports only a small part of what is actually happening and quite a bit of what is actually reported is distorted or out and out lies. This has been going on for years.
As a young soldier in Vietnam back in 1967 I was amazed and disheartened by the news as it was reported by my, then, local newspaper, the Chattanooga News Free Press. My mother sent me the story that was published regarding the Battle for Hill 875, Nov. 1967 Dak To, Vietnam. The paper ran a front page article entitled, "173rd Airborne Brigade Suffers Light Causalities on Hill 875." Now I don't know what the difference in light and heavy causalities is to the news media but I don't think that 158 dead and over 350 wounded out of approximately 600 men is light causalities, I know it was not to those of us on that Hill. I stopped believing in the news media the day I read that article.
The point is that I do not believe that we can take what any news media states at other than face value as, perhaps, interesting reading, not factual reading. The Bills that Congress passes or considers passing, needs to be read closely, very closely by all of us. Granted, many of us do not have the education to understand a lot of the complicated wording, or what that wording actually means in legal ramifications, but we have brothers who do understand such wording who can explain it to us if we ourselves don't totally understand it. So if there is something that you do not understand seek out a brother who does and ask questions. It might be too late to ask questions after a bill is passed so ask now, and if you don't like what you read, or what is explained to you, then take action individually and join with others to take action to stop a wrong before it happens. Remember, United We Stand!
